I just fixed my drivers side window that would not go up all the way. Turned out the teeth on the gear sector were worn off. Luckily I had an old part that I cut out a good section and spliced it onto the worn one. The pinching of the rear quarter window rubber just would not go away with the adjusting points on the windows. The track on the rear of the drivers door has a pop rivet broken and didn't help the adjustment process. The final adjustment was to slightly bend the quarter window rubber about 1/8" inward at the top 4". It somehow got bent outward by years of people exiting the rear seat. There is a metal piece inside the rubber seal that I bent inward with my fingers. The windows close nicely and no more lowering the rear window to get the front window to close fully. Hope this helps others with this frustration problem.
