Mine did the same thing, within two weeks I noticed they were dim and then one side went out.
I hard wired regular 194 bulbs in using a spare fuse for the power supply. They do not dim, but who cares, you can see the instrument panel.
I connected the lights by soldering right to the existing bulb holder on the exposed metal, and then peeled back the foil and screwed them into place.
It has worked for about 6 months.
