91 should have a large bolt on the passenger side cover, just below the exhaust manifold with a diptick hidden. Probably either a cost save or a warranty fix due to leaks with the previous design. Either way, you check and fill your fluid there. Drain, of course doesnt exist on 91 either so you have to pull the rear cover. This, I'm sure was a cost reduction action.

Fluid level should b between the 2 lines, on the dipstick, but mine has always been a little over with no problems.

Apparently the saab manuals say to fill as required, but dont specify service intervals. All I can say is when I pulled my 10w30 oil out of the gearbox after 2 years, it didnt look good at all. Black, and sludgy. This gearbox was a factory rebuild I believe shipped from Sweden.
