anyone have a schematic of 88 or 89-93 5 speed? Posted by Bryan [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
i'm just working my way through my first 900 spg project, and have realized so many folks talk about tranny problems with higher horsepower cars in the 220-230 range. i've heard all sorts of opinions.
so i am interested in reviewing the design schematic and wonder if anyone knows orf a lik to one
on a tangential but related thought, how do all of you with those beautiful hopped up C900 turbos, spgs, airflows, etc. keep transmissions in your cars? Are you not stepping on it or is just how you use your throttle/clutch? i hesitate to put 250-260 horse into my engine and not be able to use it without 2 and 3 gear crashing-
by the way, why don't we all band together and pay a machinist to create the .72 gear ratio primary drives that were only available in europe and are so hard to come by? that would help all of us that aree complaining about the useless 1 and 2 gear in the spgs, etc., and also reduce the torque through the tranny....Seriously, I guess we could create any ratio for that matter. It's basic engineering and machinist tooling-
Or am I the only one who wants this gearing?
interested in hearing thoughts on this-and io've heard alot of great advice. i pretty new into my saab, but love this site for good conversation and q/a~
