yes it appears to be the pump internal valve. it takes 5 seconds to fire hot or cold(unless I turn off car and immediately restart then its ok.ruled out plugs, wires cap,coil, AMM. fpc appears good.at least it doesnt spew fuel out the vac line when pulled.....as far as wiring, going to do a 2 position switch. normally on position with existing pump power thru that. other side momentary contact with direct power in one side and out to the pump. that will negate the need for a diode. IF I can find a switch tomorrow will be in bizness and post how it comes out. just FYI to those thinking of this.... found easiest way is to cut into pump wiring power, (under rear seat in bundle) run it thru the switch. switch will mount nicely in console just fwd of seat belts. If anyone is interested post a note with email addy and will draw up plan to send.yup, wiring is a pita, but cheaper than messing with pump/costs.
