John, Thanks so much for your ideas. It seems I'm getting allot of fuel, but not enough spark. I played around with the distributor and now the car runs fine! I took an air spray can and cleaned out the inside and played around with the cap and rotor. Sort of embarassed, but now the oil pressure light is still on, and thanks to your sugesstions it seems I'm getting good volatage.
I also noticed something strange.. my car apparently has no crank position sensor. The Bentley-"bible" and the haynes book both do not have the crank sensor listed. The Saab EPC software shows it, but "dotted" so I guess not all 900's have the sensor behind the harmonic balencer.
With the oil pressure, people mention the oil pressure relief valve, but it seems its either in the oil filter housing or the timing cover. So I'm going to try to clean that and see if it helps to make the head quieter.
getting closer! Thanks again!
-Alex
