Condition.
Manual Transmission Leaking.
Cleaned Transmission Area to assist in finding leaks.
Read through posts, and particularly focused on the chance of leaks at the shifter seal, and at the drivers.
Crawling on the ground without lifting the car, I see.
Newly leaked oil visible on the skid plate, near that major cross beam.
Oil near the back of the transmission casing.
No oil on the driver side "driver" (Where the drive axle comes out of the transmission)
Some Oil on the passenger side "driver" but its possible that it travelled.
Don't know if I should expect to see anything, but from inside the car and pulling up the rubber boot at the shifter, I don' see any oil.
My plan is to put the front on jacks and climb under with a good light, but any advise on just where to look for the the source of the leak is appreciated.
If it is the shifter seal, I plan to follow Anders advice and have an independent do the work, but I'd rather go into the conversation with good knowledge of what the problem is.
