A couple of possibilities are that either the return line from the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) is blocked or the fuel pressure regulator went bad.
One quickie check is to take the vacuum hose off the FPR. If gas is coming oug of the vacuum line, it has gone bad. That's not a 100% test, because it can go bad without having a puncture in the diaphragm.
It's also possible that the NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) sensor (located on the intake manifold flange between the intake runners for cylinders 2 and 3), went bad.
