I think I like the auto-up feature -toll booths, parking.
I'm thinking of making it auto up and auto down but don't fully understand the mechanism. I can see that when the switch is hyper-depressed, it makes contact through the extra pin which I believe sends current to a relay but beyond that I'm lost. I know the switches switch the direction of the current to the motor but am unsure if this reversed polarity would operate the relay or damage it.
I also don't know how to what makes that extra "click". If you re-wired your switch so that the half of the switch that doesn't have the window picture is the half that hyper-depresses or clicks then you've already done what I would like to.
I'd also like to wire this feature into the pass switch as well and figure if I just use another driver switch and jump the wire to the relay into it, that would do the trick. I'm not sure if this would be a problem however if both auto switches are pushed at the same time or maybe activated in different directions.
I think I'll re-work a drivers switch first - two rockers with the little pegs, wire in another contact to the relay and add a pin to the end of the switch without the window icon.
Is this what you've already done? If so, does your switch now hyper-depress in both directions?
Man, this post is lengthy and I'm not really sure if it's clear what I'm saying but I hope you understand.
Thanks
Tushy
