A consistent feature of posts and responses to this board is a devotion to the DIY ethic, and I suspect that it is not confined to automotive repairs. At the risk of spawning an out-of-control OT thread, I'm interested to know pointers to the URLs that Saabers find useful for non-Saab info: DIY home repair, DIY landscaping, DIY small engine repair, DIY bikini wax, whatever.

Sure there's loads of such sites, but to find them via Google requires wading through so much crap that it's hard to justify when there is a demographic that is used to effective and efficient exchange of info( i.e., SaaNet contributors) and likely can provide inroads to same.

Just for example, my particular (pressing) interest is in troubleshooting a problem with my Kenmore (Sears) range. I was brewing a batch of Russian Stout this eve and the piezo-electric starter for the back left burner took it upon itself to ignite ad nauseum, I had to unplug the range to stop it from clicking/sparking.

In a perfect world, I could surf to a site like this one, where common faults/problems are discussed and solutions are available in a user-friendly format, and get guidance/advice for repair. If this post garners response that helps me fix my oven, well, cool, but I'm most interested in learning if there are comparably useful DIY sites (in any area) that Saabers might recommend.

FWIW, the Russian Stout brew is in the carboy, and it will be Fabulous!
