Clutch bleeding needed?

SAABnetters:
Sorry about duplicative posting this on both this BB and the members BB. I don't exactly know how these BBs work, yet.
In the process of following Pajjakids (1) excellent directions on replacing a crankshaft pulley, I needed to remove the black plastic sshroud over the clutch on my '86 SAAB 900. Pajjakid recommended removing the AIC valve to get more room to remove the shroud. Not knowing what an AIC valve is, I removed what I think is the clutch bleeder nipple. I photo of the hole that the nipple was screwed into is at (2). Alot of black oily goo leaked out of the hole.
I am wondering what the consequences of making this error might be. Does this mean I will need to bleed my clutch? I had planned to replace my clutch after replacing the crankshaft pulley. I checked Bentley (412:pp1-2, no pitures!). It seems that bleeding the clutch is a part of the clutch replacement procedure (section 411). Is this correct? Also, according to Bently, a special SAAB tool is required for bleeding a clutch. Is there a "home-made" tool that will work effectively to do this job?
Thanks for your advice on this!
