just got a Fidanza alu flywheel and the documentation says to put the bearing in on the crank side and as the flywheel is torqued to the crank flange the bearing will move to its final resting position. Test fit it and see if that might work for you.
do you have to warm up the flywheel to about 250 degrees in order to get the bearing in? that's what my doc. says.
