hey all:
Just put in a boost gauge and A/F gauge in my '89 900T a few weeks ago - went to change the oil yesterday and it was extremely thin and smelled like gas. the car's also been running kind of rough recently - i disconnected the A/F gauge and it seemed to improve after 10 miles or so. now my question is: could the gauge have shorted out the O2 sensor or somethin? mechanic suggested FPR, as well - will do the "gas in vac. hose test" today or tomorrow. also, the signal wire from the A/F gauge is very lightweight, but was too short, so i spliced in a piece of heavier-weight wire to reach the rest of the way (it was all i had around the garage at the time) - could the heavier-weight wire be drawing too much current from the O2 sensor or something? any insights much appreciated!
thanks again!
