In 1991 Saab made about 600 convertibles with SPG trims in Monte Carlo Yellow and Platana Grey. Please note, these aren't SPG colors, and I fully agree with you that they look muich beter than regular convertibles.
They have the SPG mouldings, badges that are not applied (no "turbo", no "900", just SAAB and the logo), but again, no SPG lowered springs, and the higher boost.
In 1998 Saab made what is called "Spring time in Sweden", these are black convertibles with SPG trims. Some people say that these are SPGs, but I have seen one with automatic transmission which makes it no SPG.
You can look at Saabs for sale on this website, look under convertibles, and you usually will see them, the yellow ones can get really expensive. To me all the classic 900s are special, the special edition ones are collectors' items.
