a mobile windshield guy came over to install a windshield, then i got him to take a whaletail off my old 83, and then he took the rear glass out of the hatch. what he did for that was separate the seal from the hatch with a blunt knife, sprayed some silicon lube inside, then as i held the hatch he pushed and worked the window loose, spraying liberally to aid in the seal slipping out of the hatch. Presto! didnt take more that 10 minutes start to finish. the suggestion of practicing at the junkyard is a good one!
