You wouldnt think a simple glass replacement on a 900 convertible would be that hard, but with my luck, I must have found the glass shop from hell.

They managed to

a) Spill tiny shards of glass all over the interior without even cleaning it up (what the heck did they use? a sawzall?)
b) Damage both my A-Pillars with their cutting tool
c) Not glue down the rubber trim strip, causing it to fall out
d) not press the bottom of the window in, causing it to stick out more than the other sides
e) Leave a dirty residue all over my freshly compounded hood
f) Leave chunks of black butyl stuff on the carpet
g) Leave dirty hand prints on the leather on both door panels

And they call themselves professionals. Boy did I raise a stink. I also threatened that they better not charge my credit card until all the issues are resolved or I would dispute and they wouldnt get paid anyway.

I am a bit concerned about a couple things:

first, the foreman said he would repair my a-pillars and said there is an upholstery expert who can correct the damage. Should I be scheptical? I am supposed to pick the parts up tomorrow. Mind you my pillars prior to their screw up were perfect. If they are not in the same condition, should I simply refuse them and file a dispute with my credit card? This is of course provided they dont offer to replace them...What are my options here?

Can you believe he also had to bring the car back not once but twice to have the inside vacuumed out? And it still wasnt a good job, so I thoroughly cleaned everything myself seeing as the boneheads in the back were worthless.

Actually, I got a good look at a few of them. Typical B*U*M*S. One guy, must have been 25 or so, was very rude to me when I asked him a question. If I had seen hese people prior to my appointment, I would have cancelled. I dont care what people think, but no worker should be unpresentable in front of a customer. My father and grandfather owned dealerships and never would they allow any employee to act negatively to ANY customer. Otherwise they were history.

Apparently the foreman claimed he cant get good help, yet they continue to book jobs. Gives you a warm fuzzy feeling, doesnt it?

Has anyone had a situation similar to this? If so, what did you do?

I am not sure if I can divulge the company who did this to me, but if you are a Michigan resident, the place is in Plymouth, off of Ann Arbor road. I highly recommend you don't go there if you value the appearance of your Saab.
