Am slowly changing my 87 900 turbo automatic to a standard,, last night i finally got to removing the auto trans from the motor and guess what?? NO gasket between the motor and trans!!!!!! not even any silicone,,, nothing!!!! this trans had been changed before, since the housing had some kind of markings showing what it had been removed from, also, the convertor bolts were FINGER tight,, and there was no transmission heat exchanger,, just the cooler under the bumper, Am not surprised the trans failed, and the amount of oil sprayed all over the engine compartment has to be seen to be believed. Whoever worked on this car beforehand was an animal,, lol,, missing bolts everywhere. just goes to show some of the "craftsmanship" out there. hopefully the 5 speed will go onto the motor tonight.
