Try and peel away some of the outer insulation on the connector wiring, cuz then you'll see some color. And I think the color scheme on both the connector wire and inside the distributor are the same. I think one of the connections is a general ground, which means it connects to the surrounding wire mesh inside the insulation. I've soldered a new plug to old wiring and that's what I recall. But the internal color scheme should be consistent, like red/green or brown/green. Sorry for the vague answer.
