Rebuild kit via Eeuroparts is $7. I have a friend with multiple rebuilts on the shelf shipped to your door for $25. Contact me if you want his email. It's very simple to remove the master cylinder - after you disconnect the pedal, and the 2 12mm nuts, the whole cylinder slides out into the engine compartment. Its ALOT easier if you under the Allen head bolts on the seat and at least tilt the whole thing back if not remove the seat altogether. I opened the drivers side door, flipped over a 3 foot long plastic garden planter and laid on the floor mat on the planter so my shoulders where about where your feet usually are. The job's easier if you're righ handed also..... grrr...
I chose to unbolt the torx headed screw that secures the clutch line to the fender wall, it was also rusting in the section that runs along the frame to the slave which ive replaced with high pressure hose and clamps! But freeing up the line here gives you more play with getting to the MC. I disconnected from the slave and removed the MC with the line still attached Both my slave amd master had large amounts of crud build up in them and I assume this contributed to their failures.
I'm getting a rebuilt this week and also the rebuild kit so I have 2 MC's in the car, along with the spare starter, ECU, fuses, relays, light bulbs...,
Good Luck
