Pull the vacuum line off of the fuel pressure regulator. I bet it's full of gas. It chouldn't be. In case you're unfamiliar, its the cylinder connected the fuel rail. The diaphram inside fails and allows all of that fule to flow right into the intake manifold. When you disconnect the fuel pump, that car starts and runs on the residual gas. Otherwise, its flooded.
