Can do the same G!#$ Thing !!! First - Why repeatedly remove the front seat? 1. shifter/reverse lockout problem 2. heat shield r&r, 3. CLUTCH Master cylinder r&r, 4. Ignition cylinder/wire harness repair.....(Installing aftermarket foglight toggle in extra slots in the console;))
Once the seats, especially the driver's seat is removed there is ALOT of room to take a nap... I mean work under the dash or in the center console. That being said, I have the old style hooks in the rear of the seat... and if you follow the method of pushing the seat all the way forward and then tip back, push down, and then lift up, the seat should slide right out. I did it successfully the first time i removed the driver's side seat. HOWEVER, if you do this process and then in exasperation at having to remove them AGAIN, I have discovered that the hooks can be bent by pushing too hard against the U and thus making it IMPOSSIBLE for the hook to pass through the U........because now the angle is greater, so I've been eyeing those brass bolts/nuts that hold the seat to the rails for the next time I'm taking out the seat! As we speak I have the 2 bolts out of the front, and the seat tipped back so I can get to the clutch master.. damn where is UPS!!! Good luck !!!
