Hi:
1991 900 Turbo.
About 3 weeks ago it would not start. Found fuel pump was dead. Replaced pump and filter, started right up and ran fine until yesterday when it wouldn't start again, though there is plenty of crank and spark.
Several coincidences(?)
1. In both cases, the no start occured withing two or three engine start/stop cycles following a gas fill-up.
2. The first case happened the morning after our house was"T-P'd" including dribbling what I think was Karo syrup over the Saab. I 'll confess that I didn't even consider that there might have been vandalism on the scale of putting some in the gas tank. I went to the car wash on the way to work to wash of the Karo, and filled up the gas tank. Drove to work fine, but it would not start when I went to leave.
So. If indeed there is Karo or some other contaminant in the tank, what is the recommended course of action?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Paul
