After a new O2 sensor and a new AIC and tracing every wire on page 371-66 and page 240-21 and cleaning the throttle body,(which made the problem slightly worse- hint, hint) and checking for all vacuums leaks, and trying to ground the new O2 sensor with extra wire and taking out the new O2 sensor and cleaning the contact surfaces and other stuff(AMM related),, I again removed the throttle body sensor. Oh by the way, cut away the plastic covering the 15 mm bolt that must be removed to then remove the TB. Anyway, I thought that the problem might be similar to one I had with an old carburetor on a 79 Nova. Someone on the forums had suggested to "Follow the air", so I did. The shaft play on the throttle valve flap actually let in air which made adjusting the carburetor very difficult. I thought a similar problem might exit. So I removed the TB and looked through it while supposedly closed. I could see that the circular flap DID NOT close in a "centralized fashion". When I loosened the throttle position sensor the flap closed "more". Little things started to make sense. Anyway, I adjusted the TPS with the TB off the car. To relieve lateral pressure, I put small paper washers between the TPS and the TB. Put things back together and started the car. The car came up to operating temp without an idle increase. The first time this has happen since I can remember. YES!!! Thanks to everyone who took time to try and help me, and I hope this can help the sanity situation in the idle spectrum for others.
