I hear ya re repeat questions and the resultant frustration, but then I try and put myself in the shoes of the frustrated car owner. Most people just wanna drive from home to work and back again, maybe a trip out in the country with the windows down on the weekend. To have that somewhat taken-for-granted freedom away because of a GD loose vacuum hose or the worry over a sound caused by a loose exhaust pipe bolt is very trying. Many of us are lucky to actually enjoy the challenge of defying the repair continuum by wanting to know exactly what to do at first hint of trouble from X Y or Z component. Not so with most people and enjoying a good fight with the repair continuum.

I look at answering questions about loose vacuum hoses for the 50th time like how I view the thankless job of the range cowboy - out there in the hot sun minding the cattle for days and weeks on end, no proper bed or food, no women folk to kill the loneliness, lame guitar songs, lousy java, a bad sequel co-starring Jon Lovitz. Despite all that the cowboy keeps on ridin cuz that's what they do, and without them lots of city folk won't eat thru the winter.

Tell you what I get torqued about from posters - not including some basic details about their car and problem! Knowing the year, model and engine type goes a long way when trying to solve a problem. End rant.
