complete headlight assy is easy to remove.... Posted by baggsly [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: How does one fix the headlights? the 1993 900S, garygreenleaf, Sat, 2 Jul 2005 17:44:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
it's only a few bolts and/or screws and whole assy including frame will come free. problem is, most junkyard cars seem to be missing headlights or those are crunched from accidents. if you get them from there make sure locating tabs for sidelights are there if you want everything as new.
two things to check on your car, are the black plastic frames that hold the headlamp in cracked or broken? if they are, no matter how much you turn adj screws, youre moving frame and not lamp.
another possibility is the white squares that the adj screws run thru are turning in their holders (there is a positioning block to hold in place). if those holders are cracked again you won't have any luck in adjusting adjusters. third possibility is adjusting screw block threads are stripped, and i think you'd have to replace frame if that is the case.
if you do replace assy's, ebay or perhaps someone like goldwing? or saabnet classifieds may be an option. hope this helps. mark :-)
