Sorry : yours is an early 900 and not a 99, so no firewall mod would be needed, which makes it easier to go to a 16 valve turbo. Now the big question: what to do about fuel ? stay with CIS injection (you would need a few parts from a 99 turbo) or are you good with electronics / electric installation ? in which case a 900 turbo donor will give you the wiring harness needed... Have you considered performance improvements to your naturally aspirated B engine ? intake, exhaust, ignition, valve job...
You might be surprised by the results, it would cost very little and you will learn a lot of cool stuff in the process. Just a thought...
