These are great cars, indeed. My current car is an '89, and it's my 4th C900. It has a recently acquired twin (an '88) sitting behind it in the driveway (waiting for my back to mend so I can put a new transmission in it.)
When I got my first '88 SPG, I quickly learned that, once it was up at highway speeds, it felt like a friend's Olds 442. Gently press on the gas when you're at 65 and, before you know it, you're going 20 mph faster and it's just aching to keep climbing.
There are lots of posts about how much you can put in the back of one of them. I love the looks I got when I stuffed a 32" TV in its box in the back of the car and closed the hatch.
Tell me more about the classics you've owned. My closest brushes with owning classics were my '54 Studebaker coupe and '61 Imperial. Oh, to have them back again.
