one tip that might help with plug wires:
(remembered from my Subaru, I've not had an issue w/my saab)
a main reason wires sometimes don't seat right on the plugs is that air gets trapped in the connector that, when heated, pops the connector loose.
Use an icepick (or an electric probe...a sharp non-edged point) to pierce the plug boot (wiggle it around) and vent the trapped air while seating that boot. Any hole will reseal immediately after withdrawing the point so there's no real damage to the boot. (I'm not sure I'd want to puch holes in the thing like a collander!)
