Don't worry. Assuming you haven't messed with the k pot, all you have to do is turn back the P pot counterclockwise bit by bit until you don't exceed the max boost set by the F pot.
I have found the best settings are to have the F pot screw slot at about 90/270 degrees(horizontal/9 oclock-3 oclock). Stock settings are about straight up and down, so you turn the f pot about 90 degrees for a good starting point for a turbo tweak.
The P pot will begin to cause overrun once you get much past straight up and down (0/180 6 oclock 12 oclock). Somewhere between 5 and 6 oclock might be a good place to start. Stock is about 3 oclock.
Your goal is to have boost smoothly and quickly reach max boost without going over.
If you have messed with the k pot, I would reset it by trial and error so that you get significant knock sensor intrusion when the base timing is advanced to 18 btdc, but intrusion only becomes evident at high rpm wide open throttle at max boost. With base boost set to 5-6psi, and using a 3 BAR FPR, you should see boost about 1/4 to 3/8 red and experience minor knock sensor intrusion at WOT if all is set correctly.
