I'm shopping for pads for my '92 convertible as the muffler-shop pads are nasty-terrible and they were set up wrong (caliper piston travel adjustment screw off and stripped, brakes stuck, blue rotors) so I want to change to PBR-something and my favorite "holy roller" cross-drilled rotors. The RR rotor is visibly warped, but doesn't vibrate (how is this possible?) but makes a nice clunking sound. So, a caliper, pads and rotors it is.
What kind of pads? I want good performance and don't care about brake dust, but I remember hearing not to use certain pads because they'd cool down and the parking brake will lose effectiveness.
Deluxe or Metal Masters on the rear?
I have Metal Masters on the front and older Deluxe on the rear of my '88 and love it to pieces.
Sorry I've been so quiet. Lots of work going on, plus the usual watching trains and baseball games means I'm busy busy.
