Your rotors might be severely glazed or you could be using racing pads that are not warmed up or the brake pads and rotors are soaking wet. However, I have a hunch that the problem might be with your ABS brake system.
Turn the ignition to run (not start) the brake warning lights should both come on and listen for the ABS pump motor to run. the pump should run until pressure builds up and them stop, at whcih time the warning lights go out. If the warning lights never come on, replace the bulbs immediately...access through left speaker hole.
If the pump doesn't stop in about a minute or less, and then eventually stops after 3-4 minutes, the pressure is not reaching the shut off point and the motor is overheating. Either the pump relay is sticking or your pressure reservoir, aka brake bomb, is not holding pressure.
More info is needed. Ever replace the brake fluid? Can you pump the pedal before starting and get a rock hard pedal, which then softens when you start the engine?
