Let's see;
In the last month the radiator's blown, and the turbo's failed.
NJ Failed it for the non-working odem'...the speedo's always been accurate.
The top has to be replaced; I've been sewing the failures, but there's a limit.
The radiator and turbo's the main reason not fixing, I coud deal with it if it was just the top.
And of-course the little things that age produces, driver';s door lock loose and needs adjusting. Driver power-window needs adjustment so that it closes propoerly...pulling it up the last two-inches manually. Power antenna only half-works. Body and interior basically in good shape for 300K+ miles, though there's been small paint blisters on both front wheel-lips for years that hasn't grown-much. God knows, it's probably due for suspension bushing again too. It's been rock-reliable, and hasn't been in the dealer's shop in years...tires, oil, etc. I have done locally.
If I had a garage and it was my second carI might have still decided to keep. But it's been my everyday driver for last 250k-miles or so. It lives on the street and I have no place to mothball it...or even work on it. At what point is it no longer worth a few thousand in repairs? I was going to have the top redone, but on-top-of a new odom' not worth it; then the turbo and radiator failed...just too much to fix for the miles on an everyday driver.
