Managed to get ther transmission in, fill up the fluids, bleed clutch, brakes, etc. and then tried to fire it up. Got the dreaded click and didn't start.
The CD ejected, lights work, etc. but no fuel pump or starter. Check + leads, attached - lead from battery, swapped battery with a know good one.
Wanted to doublecheck wiring, so that's the Friday night test. Attachd is a photo of the wiring for the starter/seloniod, alternator, oil pressure and some additional wires.
Starting at 12 o'clock 6 total wires
Two wires, One with black molded case, one without case, bare spade connection
long wire from under the coolant tank, black with bare spade connection
Two AMP 18094 90 degree molded white connectors, one black wire and one grey wire
11:00 o'clock White molded connctor, black wire.
Possible answers
1) Selonoid
2) Alternator near red wire
3) Oil Pressure sensor
4) ?
5) ?
6) ?
I tried the matching wires to a 89 Turbo and a 94 Conv, but the SPG has more wires! I tried the Bentleys, but couldn't find the right area that described all the wires.
The Black molded wire has 12 volts when the key is in the start postiion.
Getting close to the end and wanted to consult the board for this step.
