Are these Minnesoota mosquitoes? Posted by RS [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: SPG panels and arches, whitesaab, Thu, 4 Aug 2005 05:23:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The little ones fight over who gets to take you back to the swamp.
Your existing bumpers will work with these panels.
You'll want to use a flexible bumper paint. SEM makes one in a spray can called Anthricite (IIRC) that's a pretty good match, but other companies make flexible paints, too.
You'll want to get the arch trim and the mounting strip that's between the arch trim and the fender.
If this is for your convertible, you'll need to do some trimming on the rear bumper extensions, but it's nothing too bad.
Congrats on a good find. Like I mentioned to Ray F yesterday, get everything associated with mounting the panels and all fo the gussetts.
The sequence for removing the panels is:
- take off the door panels first.
- remove the panels behind the front wheel well by removing the metal clip torx screwed to the inner fender and the bottom clip. Then lift up the front lip and push back towards the door. It'll slide back.
- the panel behind the door is the same procedure except it goes in the opposite direction.
