I'm waiting on a new timming chain to come in the mail. While replacing my transmission I took a look in the motor and found I was sitting at 15mm at the tensioner. My guides were heavily grooved, so I thought replacing them would put me back to an acceptable distance. Nadda! put it back together, spun the motor several times and remeasured and I'm still sitting at 15mm! Cripes! I wish I would of just ordered the chain when I ordered the guides. The replacement tensioner side guide was a different arc than the origional and I could of lost some surface area there. I'll probably get the chain in and still be out to far. I noticed the teeth on the crank gear is sharper than the teeth on the cam gears though. I was going to order it but notice the pic at Eeuropart looked to have sharper teeth too. I'm not going to repace the gears though. Too impatient! Fall is nearing and my wife and I are Jones'N for a convertable trip.
