turbo pistons are different than non turbo - you need the design and quality of turbo engine to stand up to the pressure of turbo boosting.
however, the heads are swappable. far as i know all 16v engines used sodium filled exhaust valves.
Finally, you will want to swap the intake cams - they are different and you want to use the turbo intake cam on the turbo engine.
check your timing chain tensioner at the same time to see how much chain/sprocket wear you have - its a great time to replace the chain. if only the head is being swapped you'll have to buy a chain that is broken, so that it can be rolled into the engine (so that you dont have to take the crankshaft pulley, oil pump and timing chain cover off).
However, if you end up doing the latter, best to replace the timing chain tensioner-side guide at the same time.
