In a gasburner car it would probably clog the catalytic convertor very quickly and in the meantime lay down a cloud of smoke like a WWII cruiser. I have been blending for several years for my two old diesels, 40% used peanut oil to 60% #2 diesel in the summer, only 20% peanut in the winter. A recent trend FOR DIESELS, though, is to use about 80% vegoil thinned by about 20% regular unleaded gasoline in warm climate areas; once some cetane booster is added, this is supposed to be a better chemical combination, but I haven't had the courage to try it yet. There have been some TV shows about blending in which the reporter wasn't very clear about the difference between gas and diesel, and I hope they haven't mislead some people into disastrous experiments.
