Is replacing rear pads on '87 s pretty easy? Posted by Wil W [Email] ![]() ![]() |
In the last couple of days I've been getting a terrible noise from my brakes. Sounds kinda like when the car has sat for a couple of weeks and the rotors have rusted - before its rubbed away the rust. Anyway, I haven't had time to pull the wheels but just looking through the wheel it looks like my rear pads are completely gone.
I picked up some really inexpensive pads $13 (Organics as suggested by my Mech) for the car and plan on replacing this weekend. Is this pretty easy and straight fwd or a PIA? Looks pretty easy from bentley's, but I live in MN so I'm concerned about getting the pins loose due to rust. Any advice and tips would be appreciated. I have done the front pads for my '89 turbo few year back but had to have my mechanic losen up several things. Its been about 3 years so I'm a little rusty like my car.
TIA.
