Well, the stalling was more anoyance than reason to replace. I failed my emissions test with high NO measurment. That, along with the post start stalling and the fact that I have replaced every other component including vacuum lines and it still stalled and then idled higher once warmed gave me enough concern to try the swap.
Good news is I can tell the difference when driving, and I did hit the throttle body with some carb cleaner which did make a difference, as you mentioned. After that it did not stall.
Checking the duty cycle of the AIC valve though has me wondering. I got a reading of 79%. Nowhere near 38% which is what bently says it should be. Of course this was just a cusory check and not part of the idle setting proceedure so I had no test plugs grounded or anything.
So I kind of have two problems I'm hoping to fix with the AMM swap. Still need to go through the proper proceedure of setting idle and tomorrow I'll get it tested and see where my emissions values are. O2 sensor reading look fine, but then again they looked fine on the old one too.
