Vacuum switch ID question.....

The switch in question is the one next to the cruise control switch in the left fender opposite the APC control unit. I know the one toward the front of the car is part of the cruise control. Could someone tell me what the switch controls which connects to the vacuum T-fitting by the dipstick? This is on a 1986 900 SPG....
