You said the cable was OK but the throttle wasn't closing all the way. That has nothing to do with the AIC, TPS wires, or coolant temperature "NTC" sensor. All those things hold the high idle RPM without actually holding the throttle plate open.
Look for something bent or binding the mechanical action of the throttle plate. Including the throttle-position switch. Not the wiring, but something physically binding the throttle shaft.
If the actual throttle shaft (& cable drum) truly closes, then check out that stuff RS suggests. Also look for vacuum leaks.
