Sagging Conv Door

Last weekend tried to fix sagging door on my newly acquired '94 CE. Atfer loosening bolts attaching door hinges to car body I found out that the door can't be moved up any further. The hinges won't allow for any upward movement. I guess my next step should be loosening bolts which hold the hinges to the door and see if there is enough play there to move the door up. Anyone has done this? Other ways to fix it?
