$450 is a good price, but does it include not only the seal, but also the harmonic balancer and oil seal? Those things should be done in tandem with each other and is not that much more money.
Jerry (at 26th and Pleasant) is quite good. He's a bit of a character and does have a lead time to get in.
The Foreign Service probably doesn't have much for lead time. Make sure, if possible, the owner is the one who does the work. They did my front seal, but I had to take it back in a few times to fix what they had screwed up....nothing major, put a hole in a heater hose, nut fell off alternator, not to mention the oil leak was not from the seal but the chain tensioner. $600.00 for something that didn't need to be done...if the owner had been present, I'm sure things would have been much different.
