You could try heating the nylon line with hot water. If you search the board, you will find a picture of a custom made tool (made of wood) to hold the fitting in place to press it in. Saab has a special tool to press in place. I once had success with one on the smaller fuel lines, under the hood of my 88 900 NA, by using a pair of pliers to hold the tube/fitting connection, then using a pair of channel-lock pliers from the under the end of the regular pliers to the head of the check valve fitting. As you press the fitting in a fraction onf an inch, you must re-adjust the channel-locks. The only problem I had was being careful that the first set of pliers didn't dig through the plastic tubing.
Your only other solution would be to get another check valve, and break off the the end of the one that you have partially installed. this will give enough support to the tubing to enable you to use the rubber fuel injection hose method described in earlier post.

OR you could replace the entire fuel line from the tank. I beleive Saab sells that tube with the fitting installed as an aseembly.
