Also worth of your attention are the sliding pins for the front caliper. When in doubt, grease them up with high-temp brake-suitable grease after cleaning them and inspection for binding spots. If that's not it, pull the calipers off and see if you can squeeze the pistons back in. If you have resistance, either the pistons are hung/hanging up (time for a rebuilt caliper), or the flex hoses have degraded (haven't run into this on a Saab yet, their lines and fittings are more reliable than those square-ish Swedish cars to me). If you end up replacing caliper(s), use a reliable rebuild (Centric work great for me) and replace your brake fluid if it has become dark.
