Head gasket. Bad news I am the bearer of. Try setting up a lawn chair and camping next to your car until she (you know,) goes in your presence. If the coolant is being forced out the expansion tank cap (also evidenced by white streaks on the reservoir in the morning) it's head gasket time. Since the engine heats up (slightly) and the water pump stops turning when you shut the engine off, whatever metal surface in the engine that used to be protected by the head gasket stays in contact with the coolant for those five to fifteen minutes, heating everything up a lot, and the coolant expands (with no pressure to keep it under its boiling point anymore) and the only designed-in place for it do do that is out the pressure relief fitting in the cap. The puddle sits just inside of the left front tire, as you said.
