I am going through the same process as you. I am also in Connecticut (Enfield). There isn't much you can do about that console plastic. I poked holes in a low spot and just kept squeezing toward the hole. It took alot of the water out. I removed a complete phone installation from a crashed Saab so I may have whatever you are missing. I don't even know why I kept it. I know I will never install it so I will give you whatever you need if you want to pick it up. My problems are obvious. The top is full of rips and tears. I have replaced a top once before so I know I can accomplish this. Good luck finding your leak.
