applying paint. We use red, which is the roughest, when scuffing light colored cars such as white,.... and grey when doing say gold or black cars. I'm not sure how rough the green pads are, since I use them to scrub dishes. :)
I'd say to have it buffed out. At this point you have nothing to lose.... but the scratches. Worst case is a detailer or bodyshop would have to wet sand them out with a fine grit(1500, 2000, 2500), then buff.
FYI, there's no clearcoat on your car from the factory, so at least they wouldn't cut thru it.
