saab doesn't carry the rebuilt (or new) borg warner three speed auto any longer. If you are looking for a fixer you may have noticed the surge in 900's with auto problems for sale, many at a great discount! If you are keeping the car long term, and can drive a stick, suggest you move to a stick. there are several fantastic writeups on doing this. I'm waiting until I get my 87 8V 5 speed back from my brother to convert a 91 16V auto to 5 speed. BTW, I learned that the auto from 1986 to 1993 (plus the 94 convertible) is the same. The 5 speed too. There is a P/N change at MY90 but if you have EPC sw you will discover that although the top level p/n is different all of the items below it are the same... I also just took an auto from an 86 16V auto and put into a 91 16V auto. it works just fine.
