Hi,

I've had to repair my seat heaters in the past, and of course, once again this year now that it's getting cool.

The repairs I've made are at the solder joint from the connector wire to the nichrome in the seat back.

I now have continuity from the input connector under the seat, and voltage to the connector from the controller side. However, I'm not getting much heat off the seat. I clearly remember it keeping me pretty toasty even with the top down in winter, but I can barely feel it now (it is heating slightly).

Four questions,

What resistance should I be measuring through the element?
What resistance should I get through the thermostat measure? I'm getting a midrange resistance (not open or closed)
Where exactly is the thermostat? (I've been avoiding pulling the seat bottom cover off, and can't determine where it is.)
How can I get to the rheostat switch in the dash to check that out.

I have a 92 convertible...
